Lord of Hosts Church, located in Omaha, Nebraska, recently completed construction of their new 1400-seat Sanctuary, gathering areas, and broadcast support spaces. We had the opportunity to worship with them at their Dedication Service, and witness the space being used to build the Kingdom of God!
City Church - located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, is nearing construction completion. The project is enclosed and interior finish work has begun. All site utilities are installed while other site work progresses for the parking lot and drives. This is the first project for City Church and will be their permanent home. The church has a heart and mission to stay nearby and serve the urban core of Murfreesboro, TN. This area of middle Tennessee is the fastest growing in the state. “It’s been such a privilege for our team to partner with this church, alongside Dow Smith Company; helping this church be one step closer to having a permanent place to do the ministry that God has called them to do”, shared David Evans, the Project Architect.
God has called Reach Church, located in Des Moines, IA, to be a multi-generational church, which includes reaching the next generation. To accomplish their big vision and lay the foundation for decades to come, they are renovating and expanding their existing facility to reach “THE ONE.” The focus of their building renovation includes cosmetic improvements to the building exterior, first impressions lobby, administrative areas, worship space, children’s and youth worship spaces, and classrooms.
Renovations are now underway. Ames, Iowa based general contractor Story Construction and Kansas City, Missouri based architect Mantel Teter are overseeing construction of this building expansion and renovation project.

Local Omaha, Nebraska contractor, Lund-Ross Constructors, is serving as the selected general contractor.

Abundant Life is a multi-site church that includes a campus in the Crossroads District in Kansas City, Missouri.
Kansas City’s Crossroads District is an eclectic enclave of boutique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants, creative businesses, studios, art galleries and residential development. Abundant Life continued this mixed-use redevelopment trend with the construction of their new church facility where they will serve the heart of the city through compassionate ministry.
This renovation project included a dramatic transformation of the 24,00 square foot, 2-story historic Dorfman Plumbing Supply Company retail building located at the corner of 19th and Cherry Streets. Key project features include a 600-seat worship space, fellowship and connection space, café/loft space, event space, classrooms, and a rooftop patio overlooking the downtown city skyline.
Two pairs of large custom barn doors connect the worship space to the adjacent fellowship/connection space which facilitates ingress and egress as well as allowing the fellowship/connection space to serve as an overflow seating area.
Two large hydraulically operated bi-fold garage doors connect the fellowship/connection space to an outdoor courtyard area where outdoor worship and other ministry activities can flourish.
The exterior character of this historic Crossroads District building was maintained by retaining the existing masonry exterior facades while incorporating contemporary architectural cladding and several large window openings. The building interior features exposed existing masonry exterior walls, exposed wood structure, exposed steel columns and beams along with salvaged lumber paneling, freight elevator components, and a cast-in-concrete utility service manhole cover.

Northside Baptist Church - located in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, recently completed construction of their first phase of renovations. The design-build team of Smyrna, Tennessee based contractor Dow Smith Company and Kansas City, Missouri based architect Mantel Teter served this project. The second phase of renovations and an atrium/lobby addition will follow these renovations very soon.
New Creation Church - located in Longmont, Colorado, has begun interior renovation construction. Kansas City, Missouri based architect, Mantel Teter, has completed the design process to update the interior fit and finish of their existing facilities. Loveland, Colorado based contractor Elder Construction has been selected as the church’s construction partner.
Lifesong Church located in Sutton, Massachusetts, recently broke ground and started construction on a building addition. The church will be adding NextGen ministry space and renovating existing space for offices, SEU academy, and other ministry support areas.
CrossPoint Church - located in Watford City, North Dakota, is one step closer to completing their design with the design-build team of Kansas City, Missouri based architect Mantel Teter and Rapid City, South Dakota based contractor Scull Construction. The project is a relocation campus master plan and design for their first phase facility. "Our team is excited to partner with this great church to develop a campus master plan and design new facilities to help them impact the Kingdom." stated David Evans, Principal for the project.

Mantel Teter helped the church identify an existing 24,000 square foot, 2-story, retail building located at 1840 Cherry Street that was suitable for supporting the church’s mission. Existing building transformation plans include a 600-seat worship space, fellowship and connection space, classrooms, an outdoor performance venue and a rooftop patio overlooking the city skyline.

Manna Fellowship Church - located in Raymore, Missouri, is nearing construction completion with their selected design-build team of Shawnee, Kansas based contractor Straub Construction and Kansas City, Missouri based architect Mantel Teter. This second phase facility includes additional classroom space and support spaces needed for the church’s continued growth surge and strategy.
Reach Church VR Online Experience 3Dreams Studios
Reach Church, located in Des Moines, IA is one step closer to beginning a complete campus renovation project. The church recently embarked on a journey to rebrand their identity and facilities to align with their mission, “To REACH the One Who is Disconnected From God.” The church’s re-branding and environmental story telling effort was led by the collective group of strategic thinkers, story curators, visionaries and artisans at North Carolina based StoryLabs. In collaboration with church leadership and StoryLabs, Mantel Teter developed conceptual designs that transform the existing campus into a fresh and relevant tool that will propel the church’s vision and mission into the future. The church also selected Ames, Iowa based general contractor Story Construction to provide alternative building systems evaluation, preliminary cost estimating and project scheduling to ensure the project is delivered on time and under budget. The project is progressing into Design Development Phase for further refinement.
This church has rebranded their identity and created unique strategies for reaching their community. We’re excited to be Reach Church’s architectural partner and looking forward to translating their vision into reality.

New Life Church, Gillette, Wyoming
New Life Church has completed construction on their lobby expansion and renovation project! After putting the final touches on painting and furnishings, interior graphics and the installation of the new indoor children’s play equipment, the church held a dedication service last fall. After enduring pandemic challenges throughout the construction process, New Life Church is excited to open their doors and share their new ministry spaces with the Gillette community!
New Life Church is nearing the end of construction! With a church dedication service coming up this fall, construction on the addition and renovations for New Life Church in Gillette, Wyoming, are wrapping up. In the next several weeks, final painting and flooring will be underway on the interior, and the exterior concrete patios and canopies will be installed. An exciting time for New Life Church!
Christ Community Church’s Downtown Campus serves the Crossroads District, the center of the arts community, in Downtown Kansas City. The church is an intergenerational collection of individuals and families from different communities purposed for the flourishing of Downtown KC.
Over the last several years, the church has accomplished its ministry out of a leased facility. As the church outgrew this space, they began searching for a facility that they could own and that would better accommodate their immediate and future needs. After researching several different options, the church identified a 2-story 20,000 square foot building located at 208 West 19th Street in Kansas City, Missouri as a potential new home.
